Garden Lust: Old Dog, New Tricks: Hybrid Coneflowers

May 20, 2011 Comments Off on Garden Lust: Old Dog, New Tricks: Hybrid Coneflowers

Who  doesn’t love a coneflower? They are hardy, bloom almost all summer, and  they can cure what ails ya. And I love them, the whites and purple are an old stand by in summer , although despite these things I feel like they often get overlooked because they are so prevalent(not to mention native in many areas.) But no more as Patrick Swayze would say “Nobody puts baby in a corner”  and the hybrid coneflower  can pretty much knock your socks off.

This is what my little rooftop garden suffers through regularly! Behemoth storms that look like they’ve got something to prove.
