Gardens in Art: Monet’s Poppy Fields

Continuing on my ode to poppies. The impressionists really had the gardens in art thing down to a “T”, it’s Monet’s painting of poppy fields that created a love affair with  wildflower meadows and unmanicured overgrowth. For the longest time I envision the first painting below at the quintessential perfect day.
